* IMPACTS...A LARGE WINTER STORM MAY PRODUCE WIDESPREAD TRAVEL
  DIFFICULTIES OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. ICY AND SNOWPACKED
  ROADS ARE POSSIBLE. ISOLATED ROAD CLOSURES ARE POSSIBLE.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN FRIDAY AFTERNOON. SEVERAL
  ROUNDS OF HEAVY SNOW ARE LIKELY BEGINNING FRIDAY NIGHT WHICH
  WILL PERSIST THROUGH SUNDAY. THERE WILL BE BREAKS IN THE SNOW.
  SOME RAIN MAY MIX WITH THE SNOW SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT LOWER
  ELEVATIONS BEFORE CHANGING BACK TO ALL SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT
  WHICH MAY AFFECT FORECAST SNOW AMOUNTS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 12 INCHES BY SATURDAY EVENING AT
  PASS LEVEL WITH 4 TO 8 INCHES AT VALLEY FLOORS. AN ADDITIONAL
  3 TO 7 INCHES IS POSSIBLE ON CHRISTMAS DAY.

* CONFIDENCE...MEDIUM CONFIDENCE ON TIMING AND AMOUNTS. ONSET OF
  PRECIPITATION COULD BE A LITTLE SLOWER AND MAY NOT BEGIN UNTIL
  LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. AMOUNTS AT VALLEY FLOORS MAY BE SLIGHTLY
  LOWER.
