LATER TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...
.AMPLE AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO STREAM ACROSS WESTERN
WYOMING TODAY. THIS WILL RESULT IN STEADY SNOWFALL THROUGH
FRIDAY...BEFORE AN ARCTIC FRONT MOVES OVER NORTHERN AND CENTRAL
PORTIONS ON FRIDAY. PERIODS OF HEAVY WET SNOW WILL FALL IN THE
MOUNTAINS...ESPECIALLY THE TETONS. STRONG WINDS WILL ALSO LEAD TO
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH
SEVERELY REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES. SIGNIFICANT SNOW WILL
ALSO OCCUR OVER THE BIGHORN MOUNTAINS THROUGH FRIDAY AS WELL AS
THE CODY FOOTHILLS. SNOW WILL BECOME WIDESPREAD EAST OF THE
DIVIDE LATER TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...AS THE ARCTIC FRONT
SURGES SOUTHWARD.

* TIMING...ENOUGH WARM AIR HAS WORKED INTO THIS STORM THAT THERE
WILL BE PERIODS OF RAIN OR RAIN AND SNOW MIXED ACROSS THE STAR
VALLEY...ESPECIALLY THE LOWEST ELEVATIONS. OTHER HIGHER AREAS
MAY STAY SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES. SOME COLDER AIR WILL WORK IN ON
FRIDAY. ALSO HEAVIER PRECIPITATION LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND
TONIGHT MAY CHANGE OTHER AREAS TO A VERY HEAVY WET SNOW.
* TOTAL SNOWFALL...6 TO 8 INCHES WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS 12 TO 18 INCHES
IN THE HIGHER SPOTS AND NEAR THE FOOTHILLS. THE HIGHER AMOUNTS
WILL GENERALLY BE ON THE NORTH END OF THE VALLEY. ALPINE
REPORTED 6 INCHES OVERNIGHT WITH 3 TO 4 INCHES AROUND THAYNE.
* WIND AND VISIBILITY...EXPECT A SOUTH WIND OF 15 TO 25 MPH AND
GUSTY AT TIMES THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THIS WILL RESULT IN
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW... ALONG WITH LOWERED VISIBILITY DOWN
TO ONE QUARTER OF A MILE AT TIMES.
* IMPACTS...ROADS MAY BECOME SLICK AND SNOW PACKED WITH LIMITED
