...More snow for the far west much of the week... Generally light snow will fall at times Tuesday before snow is expected to increase Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 inches could fall in the mountains during this time period with 2 to 5 inches across the lower elevations. A heavier period of snow is quite possible beginning Thursday and continuing through Friday when a major winter storm is possible. Temperatures warm considerably across the lower elevations so the Star Valley could see a rain snow mixture as early as late Wednesday but especially on Thursday when even the Jackson Valley may mix with rain at times. Snowfall amounts in the surrounding mountains though could be quite heavy Thursday through Friday with 1 to 2 feet quite possible.
