Although August has another 10 days, Star Valley and Western Wyoming will be getting a taste of Fall type weather the next few days. Monsoon moisture returned to the area Tuesday night and Wednesday with showers and thundershowers common. While showers will continue into the weekend...cooler air will spread inland from the Pacific Northwest by Friday and Saturday. This should lead to snow levels lowering to reach the higher peaks of the mountains Following is the series of 500 MB forecast charts depicting the development of the trough that will bring in the cooler temperatures.
