Last Day of 2014-Cold!!!

As expected ideal conditions resulted in one of the coldest nights in Star Valley in almost 2 years. The last time it was as cold was on January 14 2013.

Typically the Auburn area is the coldest part of the valley  and this morning was no exception.  My truck thermometer dipped to -35 around sunrise.

And the nearby cattle were evidence of how cold it was.

The coldest reported in Western Wyoming  was Daniel with -48 followed by Bondurant which bottomed out at -42F.
