The Feared Polar Vortex-Fact and Fiction

With the recent cold spell in the Eastern U.S. much media hype was centered around the Polar Vortex and what it implies.  As usual the media got it wrong.  Once again Cliff Mass,  Meteorology Professor at the University of Washington provides a clear picture of what is the Polar Vortex.
