* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE AT VARYING INTENSITIES THROUGH THE
  PERIOD. THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED THIS MORNING AND
  ESPECIALLY TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* SNOWFALL SO FAR...6 TO 12 INCHES THROUGH 7 AM TUESDAY.

* TOTAL SNOW...1 TO 2 FEET WITH THE HEAVIER AMOUNTS TOWARDS THE
  NORTH END OF THE VALLEY.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...SOUTHWEST WIND INCREASING TO 15 TO 25
  MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH IN OPEN AREAS. VISIBILITIES UNDER ONE
  QUARTER MILE AT TIMES IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* MAIN IMPACT...ROADS AND HIGHWAYS WILL BECOME SLICK AND SNOW
  PACKED WITH SHARPLY REDUCED VISIBILITY.

...FREEZING RAIN, HEAVY HIGH ELEVATION SNOW ARRIVES TODAY...

.YET ANOTHER ROUND OF PRECIPITATION IN THIS VERY WET PATTERN WILL
IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN IDAHO TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW LEVELS
WILL RISE DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS ENOUGH FOR MIXED RAIN AND
SNOW SOUTH OF ATOMIC CITY, AND MORE PERSISTENT SNOW EXPECTED TO
THE NORTH OF THERE. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 FEET OF SNOW IS EXPECTED
IN THE NORTHERN WASATCH AND THE SAWTOOTH RECREATION AREA AT
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 7500 FEET. AT SNOW LEVELS BETWEEN 6000 AND
7500 FEET SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

THURSDAY...

* IMPACTS...HEAVY SNOWFALL RATES WILL MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR ROAD
  CREWS TO KEEP EVEN MAJOR HIGHWAYS CLEAR OF SNOW. EXPECT
  DIFFICULT RAVELING CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE ROAD CLOSURES FOR
  HIGHWAYS THAT HAVE HIGH ELEVATION PASSES GOING INTO WYOMING
  AND MONTANA. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW COULD QUICKLY COVER
  RECENTLY PLOWED ROADWAYS.

* TIMING...SNOWFALL RATES HAVE DIMINISHED TEMPORARILY BUT WILL
  INCREASE DURING THE AFTERNOON AND PEAK DURING THE EVENING
  HOURS TONIGHT. WINDS WILL INCREASE AND BECOME STRONG DURING
  THE AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE FAIRLY STRONG ALONG RIDGES AND
  THROUGH PASSES DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...THESE ARE SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED
  FOR 24 HOURS ENDING 500 AM WEDNESDAY. FOR AREAS EAST OF
  SPENCER IN THE NORTH AND EAST OF MCCAMMON IN THE SOUTH...5 TO
  12 INCHES BELOW 6500 FEET ELEVATION AND 10 TO 24 INCHES ABOVE
  6500 FEET ELEVATION.

* WIND...SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WIND WILL INCREASE BY THE AFTERNOON
  TO 15 TO 25 MPH AND CAUSE LOW VISIBILITY IN BLOWING SNOW AND
  HEAVILY DRIFTING SNOW.

* CONFIDENCE...HIGH CONFIDENCE IN SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ABOVE 6500
