Snow Returning to Wyoming

...SOME SPRING SNOW EXPECTED THIS WEEK...INTENSIFYING THIS WEEKEND...

COOL WET WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
SUBTANTIAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF THE AREA WITH SNOWFALL
EXPECTED OVER 7000 FEET EAST OF THE DIVIDE AND OVER 8000 FEET
WEST. SOME MOUNTAIN PASSES WILL LIKELY BE SLICK THIS MORNING
INCLUDING SOUTH PASS WHERE AN ESTIMATED 2 TO 3 INCHES HAVE FALLEN
OVER THE EAST SLOPE OF THE WIND RIVER MOUNTAINS EARLY THIS MORNING.

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE CENTER WILL APPROACH THE CENTRAL ROCKIES FROM
THE GREAT BASIN FRIDAY NIGHT WITH PRECIPITATION INCREASING IN
INTENSITY BY SATURDAY MORNING. SNOW LEVELS WILL LOWER TO THE
VALLEY FLOORS BY SATUDAY MORNING ALONG WITH STEADY OR ONLY SLIGHTLY
RISING TEMPERATURES SATURDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL BELOW FREEZING
SATURDAY NIGHT WITH PRECIPITATION CONTINUING OVER CENTRAL
AND WESTERN WYOMING. BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...10 TO 12 INCHES OF
SNOWFALL COULD ACCUMULATE OVER THE EAST SLOPE OF THE WIND RIVER
MOUNTAINS...BIG HORN MOUNTAINS AND CASPER MOUNTAIN. 6 INCHES
COULD FALL OVER THE GREEN MOUNTAINS AS WELL AS OVER THE
HIGHER ELEVATIONS BETWEEN RIVERTON AND CASPER. 2 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW
COULD FALL OVER THE REST OF THE MOUNTAINS. ONE TO TWO INCHES
OF SNOW COULD POTENTIALLY ACCUMULATE IN THE BASINS AND VALLEYS
OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL WYOMING BY SUNDAY MORNING.

WINTER CLOTHING AND ANTICIPATE WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS. STAY

MAJOR CHANGE IN THE WEATHER AS THIS SPRING SNOWSTORM DRAWS NEAR.
