Significant Rain Across the State This Weekend

The Riverton WFO has provided a summary of the Widespread significant rainstorm over the weekend.

At Star Valley Ranch a total of 2.27 inches fell from Friday night to Monday evening. This brings the total at Star Valley Ranch since Sept 1st to 8.06 and 26.56 since Jan 1st.  Going back to the total precipitation that has fallen at Star Valley Ranch since Sept 1 2013 there has been an impressive 38.05 inches.

A large storm system moved across the western United States this weekend, depositing a significant amount of rain as it slowly moved northeast. Rain began affecting our western border with Idaho as early as Friday, with rain eventually moving east of the Divide on Saturday with waves of rain and embedded thunderstorms moving across the region through Monday.
