First Snows of November, Heavy in the Mountains Coming Friday and Saturday

The first snows of November are expected into this weekend, with the greatest amounts in the higher elevations of Northwest Wyoming.  Total amounts could reach 2-3 feet in the Tetons and possibly several inches in lower populated areas by Saturday night.

THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow possible. 2 to 5 inches
  have fallen so far. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
  inches. Plan on difficult travel conditions.

* WHERE...Salt River and Wyoming Ranges.

* WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will
  cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.
