...SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW OVER THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST TONIGHT
AND TUESDAY...

.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL JET...PLENTY OF MOISTURE AND LOCAL LIFT
FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF WESTERN WYOMING WILL PRODUCE SIGNIFICANT
SNOWFALL TONIGHT INTO THE DAY TUESDAY. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL
TONIGHT...WITH LIGHTER AMOUNTS TUESDAY...BUT BLOWING SNOW WILL
CONTINUE TO BE AN ISSUE.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...JACKSON...AFTON...ALPINE...
STAR VALLEY RANCH...THAYNE

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST
TUESDAY...

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT...THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY
  TUESDAY. HOWEVER THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WITH THIS STORM SYSTEM IS
  EXPECTED TONIGHT.

* SNOWFALL SO FAR...3 TO 6 INCHES ACROSS MUCH OF JACKSON HOLE AND
  STAR VALLEY...WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* SNOWFALL TOTALS...STORM TOTAL OF 6 TO 12 INCHES.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS 15 TO 20 MPH
  WITH GUSTS 20 TO 30 MPH ACROSS OPEN AREAS WILL CAUSE BLOWING
  AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH VISIBILITY UNDER ONE QUARTER MILE AT
  TIMES.

* MAIN IMPACT...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BE DIFFICULT DUE TO
  SNOW...DRIFTING SNOW AND POOR VISIBILITY. AVALANCHE DANGER
  WILL BE QUITE HIGH IN THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS.
