...A FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS FOR RAIN AND
SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM MDT FRIDAY FOR LINCOLN
COUNTY...

At 228 PM MDT, emergency management reported that the Bear River is
flooding agricultural land in many locations near Cokeville.
Unanticipated upstream reservoir releases from Woodruff Narrows
Reservoir may cause the Bear River to continue to rise through
Friday.

Crow Creek near Fairview is cresting at this time. The creek was
reported by spotters as encroaching several secondary roads. Homes
are still not being affected near Fairview due to continued
sandbagging. Emergency management reported that the Salt River is
flowing out of its banks around Auborn and Thayne. The Salt River
near Etna is forecasted to crest near bankfull stage of 5.0 feet by
early Friday morning.

Colder and drier weather tonight through Friday will slow down the
amount of snowmelt runoff across the Bear and Salt River valleys.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
