THROUGH MONDAY...EXTENDING THOUGH MONDAY NIGHT IN THE NORTH...

.ANOTHER STRONG MOIST PACIFIC WINTER WEATHER SYSTEM IS POISED TO
MOVE INTO WESTERN WYOMING LATER TODAY. ALONG WITH GOOD UPPER
LEVEL FORCING...THIS WILL BRING PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW TO MUCH OF
THE MOUNTAINS...FOOTHILLS...AND VALLEYS WEST OF THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE.

5 PM MST MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RIVERTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM MST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS
NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL MOVE INTO AND INCREASE IN EXTENT ACROSS WESTERN
  WYOMING LATE THIS AFTERNOON...BECOMING MODERATE TO HEAVY AT
  TIMES TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING BEFORE TAPERING OFF LATER
  MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW TOTALS...5 TO 10 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS. 9 TO 16 INCHES IN
  THE MOUNTAINS.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...SOUTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
  35 MPH CAUSING BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH VISIBILITY BELOW A
  QUARTER MILE.

* MAIN IMPACT...ROADS AND HIGHWAYS WILL BECOME SLICK AND SNOW
  PACKED AND TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT AT TIMES.
