Wyoming statewide averages for temperatures and precipitation have been updated through June 2015.
Some of the highlights:
-> April through June 2015 was the 10th wettest over the last 121 years with statewide average precipitation of 8.19 inches, which is 141 percent of the 20th century average of 5.82 inches. The wettest portions of the state were across the south and east with 150 to over 200 percent of normal precipitation for the 3 month period.
-> The first half of 2015 (Jan-Jun) was the 4th warmest on record over the last 121 years. The statewide average temperature for this period was 40.4F degrees or 4.6F degrees above the 20th century average of 35.8F degrees. The 3 climate divisions that encompass western Wyoming all had their 2nd warmest first six months of the year, with 1934 being the warmest on record.
