End of the Growing Season?

Temperatures dipped below freezing in most of the valley locations of western Wyoming including Star Valley this Thursday morning.  The only areas spared from the sub freezing temperatures were the mountain
slope areas such as Star Valley Ranch where it held at 33F.  The coldest noted thus far was along the Salt River at Double L Ranch northwest of Etna with 26F.

It will be another cold morning on Friday, thus those who protected plants Thursday morning should do the same tonight.  A warming trend should occur over the weekend with the end of any freeze concerns for a while.

Following is a map of minimum temperatures recorded this Thursday morning.
